Well... updated!

Today is D-Day as far as Google reader goes and despite all the hoo hah, my blog has opened in dashboard as normal. Did we need to do anything who knows, does it make a blind bit of difference anywhere in blogland, who knows. Maybe they have changed their mind, again who knows.

Anyhow, I shall carry on doing everything I do with my blog as per normal until when or if anything changes. Has this business with bloglovin and feedly all been for nothing? Drat, drat and double drat!!

Yesterday was over-hot and humid but I did manage to get two wash loads dried and DB ironed them. Had to wash one sheet again due to a lovely present from the birds.

Have a lovely day folks, where ever you are!

Laura Robson has just gone out but she did really well. Give her a couple of years to build up her strength and she will start progressing further and winning. Well done Laura!

Been busy this morning making sunflower, pumpkin and linseed 50/50 bread.
I broke some off both loaves before baking to do us some flatbreads to have with our lunch
And finally...

Found this the other day whilst doing some family history (nots ours but it made me smile in a sad kind of way. It was for the burial of an infant (un-named) but the middle surname made me do a double take!!!

  1. It was Google Reader that Google announced would be retired in July.

Google Reader and your Blogger Reading List are two separate things. When you click to "join this site" or follow a blog via Google Friend Connect it automatically adds that blog to your Blogger Reading List and Google Reader.

As far as I know, all that will happen today is that, if you used it, Reader has gone. Every thing else (for Blogger users) stays the same.

And I can see all of your followed blogs, and all of your followers, as normal. And all of mine are still on mine :-)

  2. I was presuming that if someone uses Google reader to read our blogs then they wouldn't now be able to do so. I did think that as most of our readers are using Google blog then they would be okay.

  3. The appliance of science or All's well that end's well. It all goes over my head, as long as I can find the blogs I want I will carry on regardless. As I feel most of us will.

    1. Very true, I think it would only have affected those who use reader to read things.

    1. Well, must admit, thought I would open my dashboard and find nothing there!

    1. Thank you. I did have to give it a 'smack' before baking as it was rising too high over the top of the tin!

  6. Dc I have said exactly the same as you - the cynic in me wonders what all the faff was for; have we been ever-so slightly scammed?

Am off bread making this week..my whole life is a bit upside down having mum here while her kitchen is installed and just can't get my head round my usual routine! Yours look wonderful!

    1. Possibly, but again, who knows. In some ways, it pays to be a little cynical as it stops us, most of the time, getting properly scammed. It is odd isn't it, having someone else around, amazing how much it does upset your routine. Re bloglovin, I have got two new followers via that but of course, they don't show up on here and on bloglovin, all those who follow are anonymous. Strange.

  7. I agree DC - what was all the fuss about and hope I'm not speaking too soon! I've been out of the loop for about a week due to technical problems with computer/broadband and dreaded getting back to blogland in case it had all gone pear shaped but so far so good. Lovely bread by the way

    1. Thank you regarding the bread. Yep, maybe the hype was all for nothing. I think it would only affect those who use google reader.
