Just a quick update on my results after seeing the cardiologist. He is not unduly concerned although it is clear some sort of short circuitry is happening.
Anyway, I have to have another 24 hour Electrocardiogram and an Echo-cardiogram to check the physical look of the heart to make sure nothing untoward is present. Wonder how long that will take to be booked in and completed.
Watch this space!
Hope it's not too long to wait to find out if there is a problem. The waiting is worse than knowing I think
ReplyDeleteIt took 3 weeks for my last 24 hour ECG to be fitted, then another 3 weeks for the results then 3 more weeks to see the specialist!
DeleteHope you don't have to wait too long to get the other tests done, and hope even more that they can get to the bottom of what's causing this.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope it does get resolved eventually, sooner rather than later. He was such a sweet chap, imagine Alaister Sim the actor and you've got a rather similar looking person with an immensely nice and encouraging demeanour.
ReplyDeleteHope you get things sorted soon DC. Take care.

Thanks Patricia, keeping my fingers crossed.
DeleteFingers crossed that your tests are clear. I had to wear my monitor for 7 days! Thankfully my little 'short circuits' (PVCs & PACs) are not threatening and infrequent. It's good to have a doctor you like and trust. They are worth more than medicine, no? Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kris. I would not enjoy wearing a 7 day monitor (don't even know if they do them over here) but maybe this time, it will pick something more conclusive in the recording.
ReplyDeleteOH! Have been away and missed all this - hope you are a) on the mend and b) getting to the bottom of the cause. Worrying for you. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne. Glad you enjoyed your time away.
