Grand-dogs!

DS and FDiL sent us this recent photograph of our Grand-dogs:

These words popped into my head!

Eldest in the middle - Miss S: "I'm the eldest and look, I can sit up so.... straight!

Youngest to the left - Master L: "I'm the youngest and getting good at sitting up straight as well!

Middle in age on the right - Miss M: "Me, I just sit:)

    1. Looking forward to seeing Master L. again as haven't seen him, except for about 10 minutes when he was being taken home.

  2. Wonderful! Springers are my favourite dogs - labs coming in second. And you have their expressions down to a T! I miss having our old Sam around, but we are both out and about too much to have dogs now. Lovely to share a glimpse of this gang!

    1. The words just popped in! The dogs have large, purpose built kennels (with sleeping and playing area) where, when necessary, such as when their mum and dad are both out at work, they are locked in, with a dog minder letting them out during the day. They seem to sleep most of the time when in there. After a good run around in the morning and evening (plus working at weekends), they are all as fit as fiddles.

    2. No criticism was intended, Dc - didn't know their circumstances any way - just that we made a decision when Sam dies not to have any more , I was up to my eyes as newly qualified RSCN with more training in the pipeline, both boys had left home, no-one here, and one dog would have been lonely. Your 9their) three look terrific, and I always get broody when I see other peopl's dogs!

    3. And meant to add, 6 weeks in New zealand every other year, and regular trips away from home is more than even this excellent arrangement would cope with!

    4. Lynne, I didn't take your comment as a criticism, far from it. I was just explaining how they manage to have dogs when both out to work for much of the week. Like you say, not an option having another one when you are out, about and away so much. I know what you mean about getting broody, always look forward to seeing them.

    1. They are all trained gun dogs, rarely bark and do exactly as they are told - well, most of the time anyway. Master L. is still being trained but is sitting very well by the look of it.

    1. Yes, they are well behaved thank goodness. Not allowed yet in the garden, as they might plough through everything!

    1. He is a little taller than M. at the moment, and his feet are huge. His biological dad could stand and put his feet up on DS shoulder's. Guess he might be quite big when fully grown.
