of snow arrived overnight, about 1.5cm. Our temperatures were predicted to be -2C but ended up around -5C.
Two extra covers were removed from the bed and the summer duvet put on top of the winter one, lighter but warmer, my toes were getting sore!
I made our weekly loaf of bread and a pan of curried parsnip soup, which we shall finish today. Over the weekend I used up some old tea cakes from the freezer as a bread and butter pudding.
Take care folks especially if you are out and about.
It's been snowing here in the Midlands on and off since yesterday. We have quite a covering now - and it's still snowing. The sky looks full of it. Even a kettle of hot water didn't defrost the bird bath this morning.
ReplyDeleteBird bath out the back yas now thawed in the sun.
DeleteAnd you too. It's very icy and dangerous out there.

Ground not too slippery yet, but wind chill very cold.
DeleteMore than a dusting here and it's still snowing! It's a real dry type of snow that's going nowhere in these subzero temperatures.
ReplyDeleteI think you are in the amber warning zone.
DeleteLovely thick but powdery snow here, the dogs love it. Homemade bread and soup on the menu here too ❤
ReplyDeleteLiving in a village, I do love the silence snow brings.
DeleteFlurries on and off here on Essex/Herts border. A light layer yesterday thawed out the front in the sun but still over the garden in the shade.
ReplyDeleteWe are waiting for possible snow on Friday. So far, not much.
DeleteWe have had lovely weather the last few days. However, snow is forecast starting Friday night on into Sunday. I guess winter is having what I hope is one final fling.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We are hoping so as well. Ready for spring now.
