Yesterday.....

We actually had a bit of blue sky and sunshine in between showers of rain. Today is grey, dismal and cold which seems to be the norm for nowadays.

If all the doom and gloom merchants prove correct, we will be having bad weather later on in the season. That, along with the blasted Brexit, will really improve the nation’s mood!

I am ashamed at the shenanigans going on in parliament at the moment. I don’t know how many times they need to be told this is the only deal, but still they keep demanding more. Each faction demanding what they need and nobody, it seems, willing to work together for the sake of the country as a whole.

Surely, all the nay sayers must have realised that the EU would make an example of us daring to leave and make the exit as hard as possible.

No, we should not vote again otherwise it would set a precedent for all future voting. What, don’t like the result of a general election, well let’s vote again then. Absolute madness lies there.

Me, I am keeping calm and carrying on as best as I can. Yes, I am doing a Brexit food box. As savings accounts mature shortly, yes, I will reinvest them ASAP before interest rates collapse further. Yes, I am still tying into new fixed utilities deals for the same reason.

  1. I agree with what you've said. What a big mess! The answer's not in another vote though, like you say. I think the country would revolt if that was planned - and even so, I think it would be a higher percentage to leave now - just for the hell of it.

  3. My Brexit cupboard is coming along nicely, and I'll be having a massive stock up with the money that will be unused due to there being no council tax next month. I would usually have put it into savings, but will use it to buy food instead.
I've been leaving comments, but realised yesterday that they're not showing up on some blogs if I use my phone to leave them!

    1. Don’t know if I haven’t received some of your comments if you see what I mean! Apparently, this month, supermarkets are supposed to be having greatly reduced prices.

  4. I am ashamed to say that I have lost interest in the whole thing and just wish it was all over so we can work out the consequences of what we as a country voted for. Fixed deals seems to be a good way to go with all this uncertainty.

  5. Living in the US I don't really understand the Brexit issue. But I do understand being ashamed of the way our countries are being run. Our president has made us the laughing stock of the world and angered those who are not laughing at us. What are our worlds coming to?

    1. I doubt many people here understand Brexit either as no-one is telling us anything. In some ways, I think you have it far worse than us!
