And, realistically, I may spend more than £3 if I'm tempted by a cake.....I do meal plan and have stocked up the freezer this month in readiness for "FRUGAL FEBRUARY". We will use up what we have , and only buy milk and fruit/veg extra. I always keep plenty of the large bags of pasta I get from Tesco in which helps a lot as you can rustle something up cheaply and quickly that way. Sue in Norfolk. p.s. this weather is a good excuse to stay in and save the pennies!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01171678340733727451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-42177268203796876632015-01-31T10:20:17.038+00:002015-01-31T10:20:17.038+00:00Hi Sue, if you need to keep within a budget due to...Hi Sue, if you need to keep within a budget due to financial constraints or you are saving for something important try visiting the cafe/doing shopping every other day. If you need the company you will still see people and pick up bargains. If your cafe visits are over say 5 days and you only visit for 3, you would save around £300 a year if on those visits you are spending £3.

Also do you meal plan, that is a great saving. Once done, check all your cupboards, fridge, freezer to see the things you actually need rather than buying because they are a bargain. Use substitute brands, most are great and the saving can be enormous. This £20 a week food challenge has been great and despite us watching our pennies on the food side of things, we have still gained important knowledge. Never stop trying or learning.

There are loads of frugal blog's around, find the ones that interest you the most, that speak to you personally and resonate with your ideas. I hope this has been of help to you.Dchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490191919855219024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-9449672109514104202015-01-31T09:59:34.698+00:002015-01-31T09:59:34.698+00:00Yes it does but after I while I wish it would go. ...Yes it does but after I while I wish it would go. I walk into town most days grocery shopping (bargain/markdown hunting ). Whilst there I always stop for a pot of tea at a local cafe. It's a friendly place with a great community feel so am unsure whether to carry on or stop as I feel guilty spending the money. But it's really my one treat. Any ideas/comments???Am in Norfolk.SueAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01171678340733727451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-11739015532303677142015-01-30T17:21:00.805+00:002015-01-30T17:21:00.805+00:00We are normally quite lucky over this half of the ...We are normally quite lucky over this half of the country but may get some after Sunday.Dchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490191919855219024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-91288656004750483082015-01-30T16:34:39.003+00:002015-01-30T16:34:39.003+00:00We had blizzard style snow yesterday but it melted...We had blizzard style snow yesterday but it melted as it hit the wet ground.
