Thank you! I am really interested in this. I remember seeing the Hale-Bopp comet over several evenings 16 years ago according to the article! We were on holiday in France with our children, and we could see the comet from the car when we returned from days out - I think it was at Easter time.
You are welcome Tiddles! I can't seem to drag this one up from my memory so perhaps missed it or it was too cloudy here or some such thing. Really hoping that this one survives its trip around the sun and that we actually get to see it. Apparently it is its one and only time through our solar system!
I love hearing from you, will read all your comments and try and answer any questions you leave. Please leave comments in English. Don't forget to come back and read my reply! All comments are moderated so if you try to link it to a commercial web site, it will not be published.
My husband has been talking about this comet for some time now. Your link has helped me to understand a little more ! Thanks for that

DeleteI saw it on a news programme last week. I remember seeing a comet a few years ago. I cant remember the name but it you could even make out a 'tail'.
ReplyDeleteI think the last comet was Hale-Bopp in 1996/97. I can't remember seeing that one though.
