A Baking Day

First of all, congratulations to all our British tennis players. Even those of you who have now finished at Wimbledon, you have played really well and can be very proud of your achievements. I don't know about you but I find it absolutely disgusting that Heather Watson and her family has been receiving death threats. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I hope you are named, shamed and banned from social media.

Taking advantage of a slightly cooler morning, I set to, getting as much baking and cooking done before the heat in the kitchen and outside got too much.

Firstly, some basic granola for DB:
Then some bread baps for lunch (there was 6 but we ate two):
Then a mushroom and pepper impossible quiche:
Whilst all of these were being made and cooked, a loaf of bread was rising and was the last thing to be baked before the oven was finally switched off:
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

    1. Thank you. It is and we froze half of it sliced so it doesn't go mouldy in this heat.

  2. Impossible Quiche, looks great, I have the recipe and will have the real thing for dinner. Lidl have cooking bacon offcuts for 31.50 per Kilo. I buy and then separate into meal size portions and freeze.

    1. I wouldn't really describe it as a crust, just thicker on the base.
