Using some of the leftover squares

Welcome to Tree via Bloglovin.

I decided to make myself a winter walking hat - almost finished:
Tassle and pink edge to rim:

It took 4 pullouts and rethinks, before I got it how I wanted it but boy, does it keep your head warm. Looks a bit like a tea cozy:)

Still got some squares leftover!

    1. Thanks. Seemed a shame to waste the leftover squares.

  3. Excellent fit by the looks of it, well done.
I'd never have thought of using crochet squares in that way but it's obvious
    now I've seen it.
I promise myself every year that I'll make a hat so that I can choose the colours.
Purchased ones are never quite right. Maybe I'll get round to it now inspired by your example.

    1. Did it off the top of my head. Had to do single crochet in every other stitch to pull it in!

  4. Cute. What a great way to use up those leftover crocheted squares. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest.

    God bless.

  5. St Thomas hospital London are desperate for 5" squares, they use them for prem/ICU babies to bond with parents. I must get full details and blog about it
