My half dead puppy brain must be receding as I managed to do some baking at the weekend:
One loaf of light rye bread and a blueberry vanilla sponge pudding. I also made two cornish pasties for our lunch and the rest of the beef went into a double batch of beef, butterbean and apricot curry!
Yum...
Looks and sounds yum indeed! I remember last year when it was practically impossible for me to get much in the way of baking, or even housework, done when husband was at work, as one or the other of us had to watch Betty constantly, she got up to such mischief the second we took our eyes off her.
ReplyDeleteTwo baby gates help, closed doors as well. When we are both in the kitchen organising breakfast, one of us is always watching her. She had a go at my books the other day but now leaves them be, if we are watching. She gets put in her crate three times a day for a sleep then we are able to work our way through our chores.
DeleteThat all sounds delicious! I haven't done any cooking all weekend, can't wait to get back into the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI do less than I used to but glad to be back in the groove.
DeleteI miss bread, but it's one of the things that I could easily overindulge in, so it's best if I avoid it.
ReplyDeleteYours looks as good as ever!
Thanks my dear. I can be the same with biscuits if not careful. We have a pudding after weigh day and it lasts for two each. A nice treat.
