Our weather station, situated in the shade, is reading 33.5C. I am so stressed by this heat that I erupt at the slightest thing.
Poor Ruby is panting like crazy, trying to cool down on the hearth. She has been told off twice for things that wouldn’t normally annoy me, DB isn’t fairing much better bless him.
I am now staying indoors, in the north facing front room. The fan is on and it is a balmy 29C....
I haven't got a thermometer so have no idea of the temps - better that way!
ReplyDeleteWe thought Monday was bad but Thursday was worse. Bedroom temp was 31C.
DeleteIt's 29C here and I can't stand it. Emma is panting heavily too and can't settle. Never thought I'd be wanting it to rain so much!!
ReplyDeleteHad some now but now turning humid.
DeleteWe've just had a thunder storm with hailstones - lasted all of 5 mins. All it's done is make everywhere smell outside and now it's red hot and sticky again. Our 2 young rabbits were castrated yesterday and are on cage rest - they're looking so fed up with it all too.
ReplyDeleteDon’t blame them, I am fed up as well.
DeleteIt's very uncomfortable. Every door and window is open in the house in an effort to cool it down. I'm going for a cold shower before bed tonight.
ReplyDeleteHope it helped.
DeleteWe have a ‘Cool Coat’ by Prestige for our spaniel (springer/cocker cross) which is fantastic. It was over 30C here yesterday so she wore it in the house all afternoon and evening. Absolutely marvellous. I was sceptical but bought one in desperation to give it a try as my poor black coated dog was struggling in the heat. I would highly recommend the coat it really does work and keeps her at a comfortable temperature.
ReplyDeleteNot cheap but worth every penny.
