Greyed out....

I don’t know about you, but I am getting fed up now of low grey clouds and dismal days. We have had little sustained sunshine in this part of the country and I am in need of some!

Weather forecasts seem to be indicating a change in the weather to colder days mid month, we shall see. I am going to make stew for tea, just feel the need for some comfort food.

  1. I opened the curtains this morning and thought- another dreich day! The garden looks so sad and I have to force myself outdoors for some air.

  2. Colder weather often comes hand in nhand with sun so here's hoping.
Stew is great comfort food, I agree. Yesterday's turkey stew was lovely and comforting.

  3. I'm not liking the grey either and it feels chilly too although I've not been out yet

  5. Stew sounds great. Just right for a grey day. Sun managing to get through here.

  6. I have just looked back at all our holiday photos and all the outside ones are indeed grey and dismal. Looking at the forecast it looks like a couple of storms are heading our way, so we got back to the Island before the disruption with ferries. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year.

  7. It's grayish today where I am too, although we had some sun this morning. I think I'm one of the few people that actually enjoy the dark, gray, cloudy weather! I don't know, something about it makes me feel cozy and happy. I blame my ancestors, who came from north of Bergen, Norway, which gets a LOT of rain. Must be in the blood. ;)

    Enjoy your stew! :)

  8. Stew day here too - root vegetables and chestnuts, very comforting and a little bit Christmas-tasting!
