Unlike

Some parts of the country, yesterday we awoke to another sunny day, albeit with a good frost. We finished off our Chinese meal from yesterday as a snack.

Another batch of washing dried on the line and I used the final sachet of washing machine cleaner to help keep it clean and fresh smelling.

DS arrived back from America and I feel I can now relax a little. I hate him flying although he thinks nothing of it. No doubt DDiL and his dogs will all be pleased to see him and he will enjoy seeing and holding his daughter, rather than gazing at photographs.

I cooked chicken breasts for tea. After frying them for a change, I made a sauce with the juices, some almond milk and blobs of Boursin garlic and herb cheese. Served with mashed potatoes and vegetables, it was delicious.

  1. Doesn't it seem strange your washing drying outside when there is frost? Your tea sounds hearty. How is the little one?

    1. The sun, although barely above the roof line, still has quite a bit of strength to it. Granddaughter is still doing well thanks.

  2. It's lovely to be able to get the washing outside and blow away any indoor fustiness.

  3. I can hardly wait to be hanging laundry outside once again. Hanging up in the basement just does not give them that lovely fresh air smell.

    God bless.

    1. It doesn’t but it’s always good to get things dry isn’t it.

  4. I got all the bedding washed and almost dried on the line yesterday, it's the turn of the towels today. How much better it is to have them in the fresh air and sunshine even if it is freezing cold.

    1. As a child I remember sheets and towels, having being on the line at day in the frost, being brought in as solid rigid items to thaw and go floppy in front of the aga.

  5. I love drying the washing outside and the smell of it. Sadly the winds are still causing havoc so the sheets would be flying across the fields.

  6. Interesting that you can dry clothes outside, in the cold. Lovely actually.
