For the nice and informative element of the internet.
Not being a fantastic knitter, I didn’t know how to make 1 left (m1), nor knit into the front and back of a stitch, nor slip 2 stitches then knit (ssk).
Now I do, yay!
I have nearly finished my second cardigan for DGD and wanted to knit something else a little different. I found another free pattern on the internet, another all in one, help! The above instructions are all for that.
Watch this space.
Good luck! Knitting patterns all look like a foreign language to me.
ReplyDeleteCertainly can be but my sister taught me the basics when I was about 8.
DeleteLike Sooze I just find knitting patterns a completely foreign language. You can have a square or a scarf and that's your lot if I knit for you :-)
ReplyDeleteLots of squares makes blankets!
DeleteI know … I've done a few, although sometimes I lose interest and they become cushion covers instead :-)
DeleteWell done, its amazing what a new baby inspires you to do. Good luck with the knitting.
ReplyDeleteThanks, got to keep learning.
DeleteYou tube is your friend
ReplyDeleteJust take it one stitch at a time.
Certainly is and slowly but surely.
DeleteI would love to know where to find your pattern!
ReplyDeleteAll in one kimono from https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-kimono-8
DeleteYears ago a talented friend tried to teach me to knit and all I ever ended up with was a balled up mess, The fact that you can figure this stuff out is amazing and I'm sure the baby things will be lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am quite pleased with myself I have to say. I thought I wouldn't be able to contribute at all as my crochet skills are worse than my knitting.
