My darling Granddaughter...

After making such a dramatic entrance into the world, has finally reached her predicted birth weight. How great is that!

She continues to do well. You could say, one of the positive side effects of lockdown, is her mum and dad have just had to get on with things and find their way through the early muddle of parenthood. Yes, DDiL no doubt is asking questions of her mum and getting sound advice. I occasionally chip in. In the end though, they make of the advice what they will and get on.

We are so proud of all of them.

  3. Such good news to hear, I bet it's brought lots of happiness! Our newest granddaughter is 7 wks old now - we've seen her only 4 times. I've said that mum & dad should make the most of this prolonged baby-moon as they'll probably never get another opportunity like at present. Son was working from home but has just found out he's getting furloughed - they've only had their mortgage for 3 months so that's a downside.

  4. That's such good news. Hope you are getting lots of photos.
I'm missing seeing my grandchildren so much. Little Arthur will be 3 months in just a couple of weeks and I've only seen him a few times.
    Thank goodness for phones.

  7. My second grandson was born Thursday and went home Friday. It is so hard not to see more than a photo. We will do google hangouts soon but it's going to be a while before we can see him in the flesh as they are a couple of hours away. I miss his three year old brother too. I am so glad that they are all fine but sad that I will never hold my little grandson as a new born.

    1. It is so difficult but really nothing in the grand scheme of things. As long as we all stay well until we can see and hold each other, that is the priority.

  10. Great news. This time together, just the three of them will be so special in their memories. It's so tiring with a small baby, and even more so with one who is extra tiny, but with nothing to worry about and no visitors they will be in a lovely little 'baby bubble' hopefully.
