There are many banana bread/cake recipes around. I used one sent to me by DS courtesy of DDiL.
I left out the sultana's and added a similar amount of chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. It was lovely:

It will last us several days then I can either get the remainder of date slices from the freezer or bake something else.

There is something about bananas and chocolate! I always put some chocolate chips in my banana bread. I did a deep clean of my large chest freezer. I was sure that I had more yeast and sure enough I did. I am on my last container of baking powder, though. None at the store today. I bake regularly and somehow it annoys me that I cannot get my usual supplies of baking ingredients because some folks have an urge to bake...most stuff will surely end up in the bin, as they will mess up and quit.. so annoying.

Chocolate chips and banana bread (loaf) is definitely the way to go.
