I was up several times in the night, first to go to the loo, then to get a glass of milk which usually settles me. Nope! At 3am, up again to open window for air and a quick read. By 03:30, still not settled, gave in and had an eggcup of Baileys. That usually works.
Tried to get to sleep, dawn chorus started which I heard due to forgetting to shut the window. Got up to shut it. Saw the clock go past 04:00, then fell asleep.
Woke up around 06:30, then fell asleep until 07:55 when I heard Ruby run up the drive so knew her and DB were up.
I sleep poorly one night but quite well the next so that is something. I actually had a whole week of uninterrupted sleep the end of May, so thought I had turned a corner. Ah well, onwards and upwards.
Every night is an adventure!!

ReplyDeleteI was expecting a cool night but ended up too warm and just not tired.
DeleteI slept ok but was very cold (for a change). If I hadn't removed the electric blanket a few weeks ago, I would have warmed the bed before I got in.
ReplyDeleteHairdryer down the bed works well as long as you keep the air inlet bit free of bedding.
DeleteI feel for you, sleep is so important. My sleep pattern is actually better since LD. But I have been very tired in general, hence I'm now taking a multivitamin with iron. I used to have a terrible sleep pattern having been a shift worker all my life. I still have the occasional night like yours.

DeleteHope you get a better nights sleep tonight. For some unknown reason I have been waking up at 5 and been unable to fall back asleep the last few days.
