Beach...

We took Ruby to the beach for a short visit yesterday. She’s not too bothered by the sea, a quick run in and out does her. However, her great love is just full pelt quartering on the beach. Run off in a quarter circle, back to the start, then off again.

The tide was a long way out so by the time we reached it and got back, it was long enough for all of us. The beach itself was almost deserted as were the streets. All the shops except the chip shop were closed. We queued in an orderly, socially distanced fashion for chips and curry sauce, eating them on a bench near a church.

We drove home, had a nice cup of tea, watered a few suffering plants and relaxed.

  2. Our Nell loves the beach too.. isn't it funny how they run and run in circles, we haven't been for a few weeks, so your post has made me think a visit to the beach might be rather nice.

    1. I think they like the sand and enjoy the wide open space.

Fresh air, walking at the beach, and chips eaten outside sounds fabulous.

    1. Possibly but who knows. I certainly still don’t feel comfortable going in any shops.

  5. Bertie loves the water and the sand. Chips and curry sauce, delish! I buy the Mayflower powder from Home Bargains £1 and its just like Chinese curry sauce. Yum

    1. This curry sauce is slightly different, more spice I think. We also take salt and vinegar as they never put enough on. We also took water, hand gel and a snack for Ruby.
