For some reason

I woke this morning sure it was Saturday, and still feel it is, how weird.

My tomatoes endured a cool breezy night poor things. The four in pots were completely wrapped, the ones in the garden had fleece around the bed to try and stop them snapping in the wind.

This morning with DB’s help, we put a cane across the top of the middle canes and draped and clipped a fleece roof over them. Hopefully that will warm them up a little especially as tonight and tomorrow, at least, are very cool nights.

Fingers crossed they will survive.

  1. Oh gawd ... don't confuse me, I thought it was Wednesday, and then Alan rang and finished off by saying 'see you tonight' ... and I realised it's Thursday.

It's suddenly SO much colder isn't it, although I slept like a baby last night with all the windows closed so it was nice and quiet for once.

    1. Do you get disturbed by traffic or general outside noises?

    2. I think I've just got used to the sound of less traffic through the open windows at night, and now suddenly it's almost back to normal Trucks going past through the nights etc.

Also our 2 cockerels have a shouting match with out neighbours cockerels on the campsite further along the road, starting from 4ish every morning ... it seems very loud when I'm sleeping on the side of the house nearest Chicken World with the windows open.

  2. If it's any consolation, when I woke up I really, really had to think what day it was! Absolutely no idea at all for about a minute.

    1. Certainly is, we had soup for lunch and curry for tea, those helped.

  5. I keep thinking it's Friday as I went into the office today (instead of my usual Friday) - doesn't take much to throw us off these days!

  6. It can be very confusing at the moment with so few regular things to punctuate the weeks.
It's been jolly chilly here too - I love my central heating!
