Go us!

Despite it being very cold outside yesterday, DB decided to get the high pressure hose out. The garage wall that faces into the garden was quite green. Now it looks far cleaner. I used a hook on a broom handle to hold the blackberry branches out the way. The length of it also kept me dry!

Ruby kept out the way as well.

Before he started, I took the opportunity to use a garden fork, and lift the soil up in a vain attempt to help drainage. With the expected deluge, it might not help much.

Ruby and I have now come in but I can hear him merrily cleaning. Once he starts, he goes mad!

  1. That was brave of him. It was chilly here yesterday too. It's much milder today, thank goodness.

  2. What is it with men and power cleaners?! My husband was cleaning the patio and blasted out all the grouting from between the slabs, then decided he would clean the external window frames and fascias the day after we had forked out for the window cleaner to come. Bless.

  6. Last fall a neighbor loaned my husband her power washer, about 4pm. I didn't see my husband again until dark, about 9pm. He did the side of the house that was a bit green, then all the sides of the house, and the driveway and the walkway around our house to the neighbor's walkway. He loved it.

    1. And everything looks so much better for it and safer, where paths are concerned.
