Yesterday, before DB started to drill the drainage holes in the cattle troughs, he went up to the attic to get a cold weather coat. It came down so stiff, it could stand by itself:
Meanwhile, I was busy in the kitchen, making a full wok of curry using odds and ends. It had an onion, a pepper, a huge carrot, 3 small potatoes, 2 tins of tomatoes, 1/2 a jar of concentrated curry paste, a courgette, a handful of raisins, a tin of butter beans, a whole packet of Quorn mince, a good squeeze of tomato puree and a squeeze of garlic:We had some for tea and the rest was decanted into 4 foil boxes and frozen.
That looks so delicious!

Not too shabby really.
DeleteDid the coat thaw out? Can't beat for using up odds and sods.
ReplyDeleteHe didn’t wait, just put in on and used his body heat to soften it.
DeleteIt looks delicious. Its amazing what can be made out of odds and ends. I am smiling at the coat, that's crazy...
ReplyDeleteI know and our attic is relatively well insulated. It wasn’t frozen just stiff.
DeleteI made a curry today and while I don't have as much leftover as you I do have enough for another meal for the two of us later this week.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Normally I would do the same as you but had quite a bit of vegetables that needed using up before the new shop.
