Thought I would show you how the back border we created last year is doing. The new crab apple tree is in bloom:
Herewith the border:The frittilaria and dog toothed violets have finished but lots more blooms are around. This will be followed by a few summer plants and ferns. Other than having to weed, it should look lovely once everything gets established and closes up the gaps.
My homegrown foxgloves are huge (too early to flower yet), will be interesting to see what colour they are.
That flower bed looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We planned it as much as possible to be a spring/summer garden as they are the only times we will be sitting outside to enjoy it.
DeleteIt looks beautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you. We can view half of it when sitting outside.
DeleteWow, it looks so pretty. So much colour for early on in the year.
ReplyDeleteHaven't grown many of these plants and bults so is a nice surprise.
DeleteIt's looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI transplanted some more foxgloves into the garden from the allotment this evening, and have space for more. They're being well watered in as it's throwing it down again. We managed a few hours at the plot today before we were rained off mid afternoon.
Big thunderstorm here this afternoon. I need to dig up the last of our leeks to clear the bed!
