Some other ephemera

Finance Act 1910
Intoxicating Liquors 1874
Above and below - Music Sheet Book from 1914

Also yesterday, I spent an hour or so, tea dyeing plain paper etc:

Once dried in the oven and ironed, they looked like this:

I shall find the other items collected over the years from WWII and into the 50's and 60's in case there is anything of interest or use.

  1. It looks good.

I switched to coffee dyeing things when I realised it does just as good a job and as a non-tea drinker I didn't have to put up with the awful smell as linens soaked.

    1. Being a strong tea drinker I don’t mind but I did end up with fingers that looked like I was a chain smoker!

  2. Isn't it wonderful finding old cuttings etc like that? Do you keep them in a scrapbook or something?

  3. Glad you've got a new interest. It's important to take time out to do things for ourselves, I think.
