Front Garden and Winter Troughs

My winter troughs are still going strong. With having no intention of planting them up with summer bedding, I thought I would keep dead heading and feeding them, and see how they go:

The front garden is coming along nicely. No matter how many poppies I dig out, some of the root survives to give a new display each year:

Once these late spring/early summer flowers disappear, my garden is past its best but still gives some colour.

    1. Thanks. I love them too and cut hard back after flowering to give other things a chance. They will often flower again later in the year.

  2. Your pansies have done brilliantly, and your garden is beautiful. Mine is also at its best at this time of year.

    1. Thank you. They weren’t much good early winter but came into their own in March.

  3. Beautiful colour. Pansies are a summer plant here. The deadheading and fertilizing seems to be working well.

    God bless.
