Full size dress trial and rubbish Post Office service

Onwards and upwards? It is so difficult trying to make a dress for DGD when it all has to be done via FaceTime. However, we are getting closer I think:

As mentioned before, this is not the material that will be used for the final version. I am still trying to get the fit correct. I think the waist may be too low and the skirt needs to be fuller, maybe a circle skirt would look better, who knows. Anyway, another chat this weekend to see what it looks like.

The dress should have arrived Tuesday but so far no show. What is the point paying First Class delivery when it’s worse than normal. Not good enough.

  1. The helpful lady in our PO said don't bother with paying extra for first class right now. They are so short staffed that they cannot guarantee a quicker delivery, so you might as well keep your money

    1. I agree and have read the same but then they shouldn’t offer the service if they can’t deliver it.

    1. True but I normally use second class which often arrives on a Thursday. Just hope it’s not got lost, that would be a bummer.

  3. I think you are right, the waist should be a tad higher and a full circle skirt would be perfect with the tighter bodice.

    God bless.

  4. Amazon is the same - prime no longer means same day delivery, not at the moment anyway. xx

  5. There are some really pretty dresses on the next website that may give some ideas? One very similar with wider box pleats. I am sure it will be lovely and extra special.
