Chicken tomatillo stew on top of mashed potato:
Vegetable, bockwurst and paprika soup - using up all my leftovers:The soup made enough for nearly 3 days so was a nice bonus from the bottom of the fridge and vegetable cupboard!
This is the link to the steam train article here.
Have the snowflake and woke brigade got nothing better to do? Its like they are trying to rewrite history.
I have also heard rumours that because ships use fossil fuel, they are being look at being made redundant due to climate change. Lorries, trains and other forms of transport also use the same fuel. Soon, we won't be able to move anything around the planet and will find life very difficult.
I read it and sighed - sometimes I'm glad to be 66 and on the way out!!
ReplyDeleteSame here but I do find it irritating.
DeleteI'm going to start worrying about the planet when so called celebrities and politicians stop flying around the world on private jets
ReplyDeleteTrue but so many people still fly, seemingly on a whim.
DeleteRailways were undoubtedly crucial to colonisation and the industrial revolution in this country. It seems to me to be important for historians to review railway history not only for technical and economic achievements but also the human cost of those who built the railways and rolling stock both here and across the British Empire.
ReplyDeleteThere is always human cost, especially in days gone but also today in countries with no worker protection.
DeleteI'm more concerned about the racist who's currently the Prime Minister.
ReplyDeleteBit of a boys club to say the least.
DeleteRumors are rumors...look for the truth. Other kinds of fuel are being looked at to get goods all over the world. Another thing, why don't we just start producing goods and food in our own countries.
ReplyDeleteI see the wealth (timber) every day being shipped to China to produce cheap furniture and lumber and sold back in the US. Is it necessary? No but for the fact that oligarcs don't want to pay anyone a living wage.
Very true. So much farm land is being sold off I doubt any country can completely feed their citizens.
