After having our bathroom window changed, we found out we had made a mistake in our choice of glass. The one we chose turns out to have an effect of a lighthouse lens. We tend to bathe early evening when the sun is round that side of our home. Consequently, we get blinded and it is very difficult to relax.
Another perfect fit blind in metal slats with a maple effect:
It looks creamy yellow here but has a light woodgrain effect. Makes a huge difference.
Our bungalow had vertical blinds at every window when we got it in 2009. But the plastic fixings are all degrading and falling to bits - so we are gradually removing and replacing. The bedroom one will need to be changed soon. Your perfect fit blind looks good-but how easy is it to open the window?
ReplyDeleteBedroom windows are all tilt and turn. No problems on any and the blinds don’t sag when the windows are tilted. They get you to measure very carefully and double check how close they will be to handles etc. We haven’t had any problems other than needing a spacer under the bathroom handle so it doesn’t catch the blind.
DeleteI'm toying with the idea of this sort of blinds on my French doors as well as the bedroom and living room windows. My Mum has one in her bathroom and they work very well don't they.
ReplyDeleteOur bathroom one needs a spacer for the handle as it catches on it. DB is going to make one on his new scrolling saw!
DeleteThat looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks. We wanted a different colour but chose this so dust is less apparent!
DeleteThat blind fits perfectly. Good job.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We did have to adjust this one but it works so well, no more dazzling.
