Been busy!

Apologies for lack of posts. I have needed to rest more than usual between my list of jobs. My heart has been beating more irregular than normal, resulting in a pounding in my face. Blood pressure is fine and no, it’s not my sinuses.

Rubbish trying to get hold of the GP, lazy lot. Still have to get a phone call before seeing them, if they deem it necessary. DB phoned up last week, first phone appointment on the 15th!

Anyway, face isn’t so bad at the moment so hopefully it is calming down. If necessary I will traumatise myself further by a no doubt prolonged visit to A & E.

Fence painting is still ongoing. Three more gates to do but they will have to wait until after these next rainy days have finished.

Beans and more pasta sauce have also been made and are in the freezer.

  1. Try phoning the NHS helpline 111 first, if they think it sounds serious, they can get you an appointment at the nearest walk-in centre. I hope you are feeling better soon.

  2. That sounds rough for you. The 111 helpline sounds a good idea. Hoping today goes better for you. xx

  3. That doesn't sound very nice at all. I don't understand what doctors are doing - except perhaps aiming for all being in private practice so they can earn more!
Hope you get help soon without A and E

    1. Me too. Our nearest hospital seems overwhelmed all the time! It doesn’t help that that is also the walk in centre:(

  4. Sue @ 'A Smaller Life' is right, try ringing 111, they're very helpful.
A&E is not the place for anything except accidents and emergencies, hence A&E!

    1. As an ex nurse I do know what A & E stands for! It seems to represent Anything and Everything nowadays, due to surgeries not operating properly. My particular condition can cause a heart attack or stroke so that is where I will go, after 111, if necessary. They would probably send me there anyway.

  5. Maybe it depends on the GP I phoned with an issue last week and was given an appointment with the Senior Practice Nurse later that day. We also had to phone 999 for my husband and the call handler apologised that there my be a delay but it came in under 10mins and we are rural. Husband ok by the way. We are in Galloway so I'm afraid I don't know what it's like in urban areas.

    1. Glad to hear it. We are a bit out in the sticks. Our GP service used to be excellent but since my doctor retired, the new one isn’t brilliant. They all seem to have gone part time.

  6. I hope you can see your GP as the symptoms you are having sound horrible.

    God bless.

  7. I hope you feel better soon. I have been having some problems with me as well, like you do. Might be my blood pressure at times or just allergies making my heart beat a bit faster when I wake up early a.m. being a bit warm and heart beating a bit faster than normal. It does calm down at times. I just connected with dr office via message I sent. Will see if I hear back from them today. Take care and stay calm and be happy! God bless you and husband,
    Becky

    1. I had a lot of that a few years ago. Medication has helped. They never got to the bottom of my irregular beats. Time to start again methinks.
