Bought puff pastry, divided into 4 pieces. 4 tablespoons of leftover mashed potato, mashed into just under 1/2 tin corned beef (smaller end), pinch black pepper and 2 good teaspoons brown sauce. It made 4 pasties, 2 for yesterday, 2 for today:
Pasties cooked in the air fryer for 10 minutes on air fry, flipped carefully, 2 more minutes to cook the base, done. A big saving on using the oven. Again, the vegetables on the stove top, took longer to cook.Leftover corned beef will be turned into hash for tea tonight. Cooked cubed potatoes, cubed beef, cooked together then a can of beans thrown in. Yum!
I love corned beef based stuff - they look amazing! xx
ReplyDeleteCorned beef and piccalilli sandwiches, corned beef salad, hash, pie!
DeleteThat is very economical use of both the puff pastry and the corned beef, I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteWe always try to get 4 meals/snacks from one can if possible.
DeleteI love corned beef cold, but not hot for some odd reason!
ReplyDeleteSame here but we have grown to love it like this.
DeleteCorned beef is a wonderful standby - I like the look of the pasties
ReplyDeleteThey were very nice, not so nice for my low cholesterol diet!

ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I would love to try fresh corned beef but it generally isn't sold here.
