Sometimes we have to vote with our feet.
As if they aren’t raking in enough profit, now they plan on penalising farmers and suppliers further by introducing a 'fulfilment fee' for online shopping and Booker wholesale. See this article here.
Needless to say, despite only shopping there occasionally, I won't be shopping with them anymore!
Hopefully, other supermarkets won't try the same thing.
That’s how i feel about our Walgreens.

Soon there won’t be any farmers, where will we be then?
DeleteWhy to stores shoot themselves in the foot. People do pay attention and will use their feet to shop else where.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Trouble is, we got enticed into them now greengrocers barely exist. Other shops are very expensive which also doesn’t help.
DeleteI stopped using Tesco before Christmas because of their 2 tier pricing method. To get the best deals you have to be a Clubcard member or pay extortionate prices. The Clubcard prices aren't much of a saving on everyday goods either.
ReplyDeleteI have also noticed that the demographic of our local Tesco has changed. It is definitely now used by the "haves" whilst the" have nots"are going to Lidl's, Aldi's and Asda.
We love Lidl and do most of our shopping with them, followed usually, but not always, by Morrison’s.
DeleteShocking, they need slapping down a peg or three. We should all vote with our feet, which is easy for me to say as we don't have a Tesco within shopping distance. But, I was considering having a drive out to the nearest one ... I won't now, I'll stay local instead.
ReplyDeleteWe have all of them relatively close to us, so for now, can shop elsewhere.
DeleteThat is awful. Well done on boycotting them. I would if I lived across the pond. I am a farmer and it is a struggle.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it won’t be easy if they all follow suit.
