Having gathered enough blackberry leaves to dehydrate, I used one teaspoon (a spoon for tea leaves), plus the green tops and shoulders of 5 strawberries. I dipped a regular teaspoon in honey and let most of it drip off before stirring in. It was quite nice.
Next was lemon balm and mint, a bit too much mint but again okay. Final one was nettle, more medicinal but okay.
Onwards and upwards!
Melissa Tea is something I often used to make years ago until I came across a whole list of side effects..........
ReplyDeleteheadache.
painful urination.
increased body temperature.
nausea.
vomiting.
stomach pain.
dizziness.
Frightening!
Indeed but if I drink it, it would be no more than once or twice a week so hopefully that will be okay.
DeleteI drank nettle tea quite a bit when it was colder. It tastes very "green" but I quite like it. I imagine it's very good for you as well.
ReplyDeleteI need more honey in it when I have it so ought to make a blend.
DeleteI do drink tea made with my dehydrated mint leaves. It is a bit stronger than the kind you purchase in the store.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I don’t like bought mint tea. Fresh tastes lovely but like you say, very strong.
