I don't think you can over work it, but better to use the warmth of your hands to work it rather than adding more liquid, little extra fluid seems to be the key. I have been gluten free since trialling and some of my long term problems have eased, so far! I'll try taking pictures as I go next time and post them on here.Dchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490191919855219024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-64388664064059124032015-12-10T21:40:26.884+00:002015-12-10T21:40:26.884+00:00Thanks so much. This is the first comment I have ever made with goggle and I thought it hadn't posted. Will try harder next time. Would it be possible to share the type of flour you use and your recipe for the GF pastry?
I'd be very grateful as most of my efforts have ended up feeding the seagulls rather than my
family or friends!
Sue
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-17810586886280570612015-12-10T21:04:31.349+00:002015-12-10T21:04:31.349+00:00This flour was Dove plain flour. The pastry recipe was the one I used for mince pies minus the orange zest. 18th November was the date I think. I can' tune this for other people so if I make a pie for others I tend to do without. It would be great to be able share the same pie and be like all the other boys and girls! So far I have failed dismally when I've used shop bought flour.
SueAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5339317216265636215.post-27202804206592296032015-12-09T14:57:54.309+00:002015-12-09T14:57:54.309+00:00My normal pastry has always been light and this is...My normal pastry has always been light and this is very similar. I can get tons of GF mixes/products here but 99% disappoint. You seem to be having some good luck.
