have both been given to our old and new company and the change over will commence tomorrow. Might not be huge savings but we would rather have it in our pockets than their bank.
Along with the tax savings we began yesterday, they will both add up to around £300 each year.
I managed to have £10 food money left from last month so that has gone into the pantry pot. When I have enough in there, a food bank shop can be done alongside topping up the pantry with staples.
Sunny but cold today. Washing is flapping in the breeze so should be half dry by lunchtime, such an exciting life I lead!
After an hour of black skies and torrential rain we now have strong wind and sunshine, so all my just washed bedding is blowing in the wind out on the line, tethered with copious quantities of pegs. In a minute I will be hoovering but with one eye on the window to watch for more rain ... I live an exciting life too 😊
ReplyDeleteWe had torrential rain yesterday for a couple of hours. Got caught in it and soaked to the skin.
DeleteAny time washing can be put outside to dry in January is an exciting day in my eyes!
ReplyDeleteVery true.
DeleteWe also have sun but it's very windy too. I'm currently waiting on a fence panel to be delivered - we lost one to the storms a few days ago. It's mainly needed to prevent next door's dog seeing our cat! I've started giving meter readings on a monthly basis (dual fuel with Eon) just to keep track of where we're at. I too lead a very exciting life!!
ReplyDeleteWe try to read our meter monthly for both them and us.
DeleteI hope it's nice again tomorrow as I was slow off the mark today and didn't get any washing in.
ReplyDelete£300 is well worth having, isn't it?

I try to check first thing so the washing can be put on whilst having breakfast.
DeleteI could kick myself it has been dry and windy all day so I could have hung my bedding out but instead it ill be loitering on the airer for a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteSame here this morning.
DeleteSunshine here on the coast and it's a welcome sight. Washing dried outside yesterday. My fight begins with BT and Sky next month to see if I can get the costs down. It's a bit like playing poker to see who will crack first. They normally come back with a deal.
