FarmFoods

Having had a flyer through the letter box, I decided to check out their offers. Today we went and bought a few things:

2 x 6 packs full sized Magnum at 41p each as opposed to 62p each elsewhere. 60 Cod fish fingers at £9 but equivalent amount would have been £13.50 elsewhere. John West salmon £1.39 instead of £2.95. 2 pork tenderloin fillets each weighing 900g for £8 as opposed to £12.44 for a similar weight. 2 x 500g Quorn pieces for £5 instead of £7.72 for an equivalent weight.

With a £2 coupon reduction for spending over £25, it came to £26.39 instead of £43.66, a saving of £17.27. We did it as part of our weekly shop and all shops are close to each other so no extra petrol used.

A great bargain in my eyes!

  1. Yes really good bargains. Since a big Iceland Food Warehouse opened up here very near to our FarmFoods, I tend to get frozen stuff in there now. Much bigger shop, wide aisles and it's never busy. The only thing I don't like about it is that a lot of their meat comes from abroad, I have to read the labels carefully to ensure I'm only buying the British meat. They do huge packs of frozen sweet potato fries and jacket potatoes, much cheaper than anywhere else.

    1. Yes, the meat can be a problem but occasionally I will indulge.

  2. I'm a recent fan of Farmfoods. It's right next door to our Morrisons and a lot of the stuff, exactly the same brand as in Morrisons, is around 50% cheaper! I buy the Magnums like you. Their frozen smoked haddock in bags of 4-6 fillets is lovely too. Basically if they've got in stock what you're after, it will be cheaper.

  3. No farm foods closer than Ipswich - sadly....I could pass on all those things except the Magnums!!

    1. It was just what we fancied from their list. True about Magnums.

  4. Farm Foods is the cheapest here for sugar 55 pence a bag and butter is a £1.00 a pack. Nescafe 300g is £9.00 for 2 jars - that's a pound cheaper then Tesco and Richmond sausages 2 x bags of 20 is £4 for the 2 bags and they've had 3 packs of jammie dodgers for £1.20 - 40p per pack (I'll never be thin lol). Hope the above is helpful to anyone reading xx
