I tried to find the collective term for more than one rainbow but other than a "disappoint of rainbows" (why, because there is no pot of gold at the end of them?), didn't have much luck.
Anyway, the sun was striking one of my glass oil lamps at just the right angle to shower everything in the dining room and kitchen with rainbows. On the carpet:
Kitchen cabinet:
On the back of DB as he walked into the kitchen:
On a bunch of dried flowers on the dining room table:
Its enough to gladden your heart isn't it?
May I propose "a gladden of rainbows"? or maybe a "joy"?
ReplyDeleteBoth sound good to me!
DeleteWe have some crystal on the mantelpiece in our living room and when the sun hits it from mid afternoon the whole room and ceiling has mini rainbows all over the place. When we had the cats it drove them to distraction, stalking and then jumping on something that wasn't there!
ReplyDeleteNo chance of that at present here, the sky is very dark and it looks as if we're going to get a torrential downpour at any moment!
Hope you get lots more rainbows today!
One of our grand dogs chases shadows. A brief appearance by the rainbows again this morning.
DeleteThose dried flowers look spectacular with the rainbows on them!
ReplyDeleteThey are rather enchanting aren't they.
DeleteWhen my engagement ring created sparkles on the walls and floor when the girls were little I used to tell them it was the fairies flitting about- they loved them and would spend ages watching!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, bet that kept them entertained.
DeletePerhaps a beauty of rainbows! xx
ReplyDeleteVery good.
DeleteThere's something very lovely and magical about rainbows. They remind me of childhood. X
