It’s absolutely hammering it down at the moment. More rain than Eunice but not quite so windy. Glad I am not out in it though.
Faggots, vegetables and gravy for lunch, followed by home made rice pudding. Chips, jelly and custard for tea. Right comfort food on such a day.
Raining non-stop all day here in Notts. The lawn is turning into a quagmire! Storm Franklin I think.
ReplyDeleteThankfully it wasn’t all day, we are glad to no longer have a lawn but the replacement gravel is full of puddles.
DeleteWe had snow yesterday, with the biggest flakes I've ever seen. Torrential rain and strong winds all day today, and still blowing. KL has some damage to her garage roof and fencing. I've spent the day knitting and sewing.
ReplyDeleteBest place to be methinks. Glad you are enjoying yourself.
DeleteI do hope that the rain stops soon and you do not have a great deal of flooding.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Apparently the jet stream is bringing it all from the USA. Very wet and windy for henext week.
DeleteIt was shocking here too, through the evening. Torrential rains and strong gusts. I was glad to snuggle down insi8de and relax. This morning we have lovely sunshine (and wind!)

That rain yesterday evening was certainly torrential so I was surprised to look out the front this morning and see the drive and road all dry - the wind must have dried it all - but I expect the grass in the garden to be pretty soggy - I'm not going out to try it!
ReplyDeleteYes, Franklin is as bad as Eunice, what a noisy and damage filled night.
ReplyDelete5 inches of snow here in USA after lovely week of sunshine. Got to go out to the store for some basics I am out of and not looking forward to it.
