DB likes to compile music for when we are in the car. I don't know if this was one of them but reckonised them on something else.
"Let's Go To San Francisco" was the first single record I bought and had to save about 7/- for the pleasure.
Here is a link to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puuWsTitPa4
This link tells you a little bit more about the 'group'. I still like it today but my all time favourite song has to be "Hotel California" by The Eagles see a full rendition here!
Unfortunately, if any adverts show up, click them away - blasted things. Have a good day.
A happy blast from the past, the first single that I bought was At the Hop by Danny and the Juniors.
ReplyDeleteDB says it was his 3rd or 4th record he bought.
DeleteHotel California is my all time favourite, as well. Know the words from beginning to end, much to the embarrassment of my 20 and 22 year old children! DON'T CARE!
ReplyDeleteThere is something magical about it and the guitar solo/double is amazing!
DeleteLove the Eagles! We have a few albums, theyre great for the car, a good old singalong shortens the journey :-) I think my all time favourite is San Fransisco by Scott McKenzie, must have been my hippy phase lol
ReplyDeleteWow, I remember The Flowerpot Men on the radio when I was little. I have enjoyed watching them (we didn't have a TV back then!)
ReplyDeleteHelen
We enjoy all the oldies music, these are great.
ReplyDeleteI have this on my youtube play list.. can't beat listening to the 'oldies' :o)
ReplyDeleteMy first record purchase (6s 8d!) was Billy Fury singing "When will you say I love you?" I bought it with my friend Vicky and we shared it for years- I think she must have ended up with it because I don't have it any more. "Let's go to San Francisco was from my later teenage years, and just hearing it brings back so many happy memories! Lxx
ReplyDeleteGreat taste - Eagles - the world's best band - IMHO :)
