As with most of us, sleep is hard to come by with our bedroom being 27C. On top of that, I got cramp in both feet, at different times and almost had full blown calf cramp as well. Luckily I got out of bed in time to stretch.
What with that, both shoulders and hips aching and my long term insomnia, I feel whacked.
Sticking to my diet though so am pleased with that. Once I make my mind up, I am fine.
It's awful isn't it? I've spent more time downstairs than upstairs in bed the last few nights...It's marginally cooler downstairs. I feel like a limp wet rag. I'll be interested to read about your meals.
ReplyDeleteWe had mist this morning, still no rain or storms. A lot cooler so far but might get warmer soon. I think tonight for us will be the last hot night for now.
DeleteI occasionally get foot or calf cramp and, sometimes one of ,my toes cramps up. Really not nice and, thankfully, it hasn't impacted recently.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I find a good stretch is the answer but ouch. My sympathies.
xx
Toe cramps are weird, the angles they get too!
DeleteI'm sleeping just fine, even through all the thunder, lightening and rain ... it was the third night of it last night. Suky though is struggling with the heat and two nights running she has been up to be sick on the doormat. Weird that that's her choice of place but handy for scrubbing clean and drying in the sun the next day.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tad cooler today thought so hopefully we are over the 'hump'.
Hopefully. Cool here as well.
DeleteI've been taking a freezer-pack wrapped in a tea-towel to bed with me! Stays cold quite a while. Last night was much better and a good breeze today. Thunderstorms everywhere but not here in Suffolk
ReplyDeleteCloudy and just 19C here today, still no rain.
DeleteI used to suffer with cramp, too, but I found a cure - I drink a Tonic Water every evening (Fever Tree Premium for choice as it contains natural quinine) I buy a pack of 8 small cans and one can is sufficient to stop the cramping. The family and friends who tried it are very pleased with the outcome! Some even add gin . . . . .
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I can’t drink it, makes me feel yuck:(
DeleteOh that's a shame. There are quinine tablets for night cramps but medical opinions seem to differ on the effect of them.
